## Frequently asked questions

**Does Well replace my accountant or my ledger?**  
No. Well feeds your ledger, it does not replace it. Keep Xero or Pennylane as your system of record. Well is the reconcile, collect-missing-documents, and close-acceleration layer on top.

**What about card spend with no invoice?**  
When a charge arrives without a document, Well's Chrome extension collects the missing supplier invoice.

**Can a closed period be reopened?**  
A locked period is terminal by design. Validation assigns a gapless legal sequence.

**Is my business data secure?**   
Bank connections use read-only OAuth through regulated aggregators. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit.
