Convert currencies

Adding up amounts in different currencies without saying so produces a number that means nothing. The skill either converts to one total that carries its rate and its date, or gives you a clean per-currency breakdown. It never quietly blends the two.

What is this worth in our home currency?

€739,243 in total: $740,000 of cash converts to €682,946 and $61,000 of receivables to €56,297, both at 0.9229 as of 12 Jun. Each line carries its own rate, so nothing is blended into a figure you cannot trace.

How the skill answers

Every step of the run, in order, with the card each one returns. A step that hands its work to another skill says which one.

Where do the rates come from?

From Well's own exchange rate records, with the date each one was taken. The skill does not reach out to a market feed of its own.

Why not just give one total?

It will, as long as it can state the rate and the date behind it. What it refuses to do is blend currencies into a figure with no rate attached.

Do I run this myself?

Rarely. Other skills invoke it whenever their totals span more than one currency, which is why their answers name a rate.
